Phew. Its been too long.

I always swear ā€˜next year will be different’… and then it never is. Fourth quarter mandates forced me to sideline my Cryptic adventure, and so, it sat. And now that I think about it, I’m surprised that I haven’t thought much about it at all. But how could I? Show after show after show, the holiday season is always the busiest.

You find me returned to my desk, clear-headed, and accomplished… ready to revisit this Challenge de Snoop.

Here’s the timeline of events I’ve recounted:

I always swear ā€˜next year will be different’… and then it never is. Fourth quarter mandates forced me to sideline my Cryptic adventure, and so, it sat. And now that I think about it, I’m surprised that I haven’t thought much about it at all. But how could I? Show after show after show, the holiday season is always the busiest.

You find me returned to my desk, clear-headed, and accomplished… ready to revisit this Challenge de Snoop.
Here’s the timeline of events I’ve recounted:

  • Crypt appears

  • Phone call from Brazil

  • The 1st letter of Crypt password - revealed

  • Decrypted phone call suggests Snoop Dogg…?

  • Video clue to hidden section of website; shown coordinates (to my local library) with a date/time

  • Date/time comes… odd SMS ā€œinviteā€ is received from unknown number; book-themed puzzle; The Library Entrance

  • The 2nd letter of Crypt password - revealed

This second clue bested me for about 3 weeks before I finally understood the author’s intent. This Library puzzle is a literary quest within 4 classics. But… Snoop didn’t make it easy. He seemingly mixed in actual historical facts that dispute the fictional literature. Did he do it purposefully to distract? Perhaps. More likely… he’s an idiot.

For those following along, here were my notes. And yes, the piped Ole Savannah tobacco blend inspires my inner Sherlock.

As frustrating as it was… a letter revealed.

so. finally.
- after a few exposures - NOW I understand I’m meant to wait for clues and puzzles in order to solve the Crypt’s password.
Sounds ridiculous, but I’m sleeping better because of this. Bare necessities and crypt clues… they’ll come to me.

S-N-double O-P…? …D-O-double G?

Nah… couldn’t be. why would an A-list celebrity get wrapped up in a complex game with the likes of me?
Is it a game?
Am I the game?

I’ll be honest with you. I was pretty honked off after that phone call. The bastard waited EIGHT WEEKS before giving me ANYTHING?! He let me squirm.

I’ll be honest with you. I was pretty honked off after that phone call. The bastard waited EIGHT WEEKS before giving me ANYTHING?! He let me squirm.

I tossed the Crypt in the trash and went to sleep.

12 sleepless hours later

12 sleepless hours later

its literally impossible to not think about… and I resent that. With the first letter solved, 308,915,776 possible solutions were now 11,881,376. I’ll take a 96.34% odds increase any day. Still, too many possibilities… but that didn’t stop me from trying.

in that time, I crossed another possible 800 passwords off the list; I paid $2.99 to reverse-lookup the +55 phone number (which returned ā€˜Out of Service’); I even called a colleague from Brazil and definitely insulted her when I asked ā€œIs… is this a common thing… there? You wouldn’t… happen to know… anything?ā€ Doink.

And then I had a think… one of those genius-type thinks. One of those grass-fed, 100% organic beef-type thinks. One of those goose-it-up, slap-it-down, springboard westward-type thinks.

I recorded a video right after having this think but never showed anyone… until now.
AND YOU’LL NEVER BELIEVE WHAT I FOUND…

I don’t have much time.

Yes, the title is correct. Despite the mass following of this blog, in lieu of recent events, I’ve decided to delete all previous postings. My passion for Royal Puppetry has not ended, however, my life’s work and attention has shifted.

This may be cause for concern… and perhaps rightfully so.

Let me explain…

Yes, the title is correct. Despite the mass following of this blog, in lieu of recent events, I’ve decided to delete all previous postings. My passion for Royal Puppetry has not ended, however, my life’s work and attention has shifted.
This may be cause for concern… and perhaps rightfully so.

Let me explain…

About 12 weeks ago, I received a package in the mail. Inside, a mysterious enclosure with… what I can only describe as an ancient ā€œPandora’s boxā€. Nothing else; no indication to what this might be or who sent it. Confused, but otherwise unfazed, I left it in my front room as a curiosity and tried to forget about it.

I could not. It’s odd markings and undefined purpose lingered in my mind for days. Just the thought of it taunted me relentlessly.

It has a 6-letter code. I’ve done the math. There are 308,915,776 possible solutions to unlock this device, so guesswork is impractical. Despite the impossible odds, I tried every 6-letter word that Google could come up with. I spent the better part of 8 weeks researching the device and its possible origin… I compiled a spreadsheet of 6-letter words and began crossing off the list… all to no avail.

Until about a week ago.

It was a phone call. A number I didn’t recognize. Even more odd was the country code. +55… Brazil.
My intuition kicked in… I hit ā€˜record’ and answered the call.

The Lemon Hut?
I immediately went to the oddly-specific webpage and, after re-listening to my recorded call a few times… I figured it out. Glad I kept the box.

I had just been gifted the first letter to the Crypt.

The Lemon Hut… I’d never heard of it…
I spent the next few weeks learning everything I could. Pouring over the site and its contents; seeking out the answers I soon found myself obsessing over.

One by one… I found them.

At the time of this writing, I believe I’ve identified 3 of the 6 letters.
I can’t offer these now - everything will be explained in time - I promise to post more journal entries here when I can. Stay tuned.
